Appointments for New Clients
If you are new to our clinic or have not been seen in over a year, please contact us at admin@uwcounselling.com or 905-364-8664 to book an intake assessment before scheduling counselling sessions. This initial meeting helps us understand your needs and match you with the right therapist and approach. If you book a therapy session online without completing an intake assessment, the appointment will be cancelled and our team will contact you to arrange the intake assessment.
Virtual Appointment Video Call Link
A Zoom link for your virtual counselling session will be emailed 2 hours before the appointment.
Payment
Payment is required upon completion of the scheduled session and can be made via e-transfer to admin@uwcounselling.com. Your next appointment will be confirmed once payment for the previous session is received. A receipt will be provided within 2 business days for insurance or tax purposes.
Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur a $75 late cancellation fee. Repeated late cancellations or missed appointments may result in the clinic declining future appointment request

New Psychotherapy Clients Only - Intake Assessment
All new clients are kindly asked to contact the clinic by phone or email to schedule an intake assessment before arranging any counselling sessions.
The intake assessment is a one-time, non-therapeutic meeting focused on understanding your needs and helping you get started with the right support. You’ll meet with an intake assessor who will gather background information, explore your current concerns and goals, and help determine the best therapist and therapeutic approach for you. Please note that this session does not include treatment or counselling—it is an important step to ensure you are matched with the most appropriate care within our clinic.
